Russia demands a negative corona test from all passengers, the Finnish Embassy informs.

Foreign Ministry Consular Manager Pasi Tuominen commented on Twitter:

“Russia demands a negative COVID test from all foreigners entering the country. This applies to all foreigners, both truck drivers and diplomats, and the decision will take effect immediately. ”

The Russian Foreign Ministry clarified the decision made on Thursday in July on the entry of foreign nationals.

According to the embassy, a certificate of a negative test in English or Russian no more than three calendar days old must be presented upon entry.

In many parts of Russia, such as Moscow and St. Petersburg, the use of protective masks and gloves is mandatory in public places and vehicles.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, border traffic between Finland and Russia has been allowed only for exceptional groups since 19 March.
