On a surprise visit during the "Summer Days of environmentalists", the Minister of Justice Eric Dupond-Moretti tried to calm his relations with environmentalists on Saturday.

The Minister of Justice Eric Dupond-Moretti defended himself to have never considered the Greens as "ayatollahs", during the "Summer Days of the ecologists" of which he was the surprise guest on Saturday in Pantin.

"I stigmatized the extremists, not the environmentalists"

Appeared shortly before their closing, the Minister of Justice also affirmed that he was "against the hunting of glue", one of the battle horses of environmentalists. The Greens accuse Eric Dupond-Moretti of having signed, when he was not yet a minister, the preface to a book by the boss of the federation of hunters Willy Schraen, in which he denounced the "ayatollahs of the ecology".

"I saw what they said on social networks about my comments" but "it is false. I stigmatized the extremists, not the environmentalists" and "if I am here, it is that I think that you are not Ayatollahs. Otherwise, I would not be here "; "These are the extremists that I implicated", insisted Eric Dupond-Moretti.
