One night in February, neighbors alerted about a mess in an apartment in the southern parts of Uppsala. Screams, thumps and cries for help from the home had been heard.

A police patrol broke in and found two girls, 13 and 14 years old, unconscious on a bed. The girls had vomited and when one of them woke up she said they shared a bottle of vodka. The empty bottle was found in a trash can outside the home.

An ambulance was called and the girls were then cared for in the pediatric emergency room at the Academic Hospital.

Admitted in interrogation

An acquaintance of the girls later told the police where they got the alcohol from. A saved conversation on Snapchat directed the suspicions at a man in his 20s who was taken in for questioning.

He then admitted that he had given the girls a bottle of vodka. The man is now being prosecuted at Uppsala District Court for illegal procurement of alcohol.
