For more than three centuries, the triangular trade linked France, Africa and the Caribbean. What remains of this memory far buried for some? Residents of Paris, in small groups of five, sometimes ten, are invited to travel through time, through the sounds of the 18th century, in the time of the sugar islands, in the time of the pirates, in the time of the most ancient French colony. prosperous. This sound journey was produced from a work of archival research (American posters and period newspapers, registers, ship captains' logbooks, sales extracts, etc.) This work of memory aims to give back life, body and name to all these strangers who suffered from the triangular trade on the island of Saint Domingue. This performance installation, or simply this sound journey, will be followed by a discussion time with the artists.
