Recently, the officers and soldiers set foot on the patrol road again. Early in the morning, deputy battalion commander Zhang Weipeng led eight officers and soldiers to board the vehicle. The destination of the patrol was No. 50 boundary pillar. Although the officers and soldiers on this patrol road have walked countless times, natural disasters such as landslides and mudslides, which are more common in the rainy season, always remind them to be vigilant every step of the way.

The patrol team first drove to Qusong multilateral checkpoint. Due to the rain the night before, the sandy road leading to Qusongduo was slippery, with many curves and cliffs along the roadside. After arriving at the trekking spot, Zhang Weipeng gave instructions, "The first two are responsible for observation, the first is to observe the situation of wild animals, the second is to observe the situation of the mountain, and we will set off now."

He said that the mountain roads are relatively steep, and the plants grow fast in the rainy season. Some plants are poisonous. The patrol team should bring sickles to prevent wild boars and snakes. If you encounter landslides, mudslides, etc. that block your way, you can still open the way with a sickle.

The No. 50 boundary pile is at the bottom of the valley. The officers and soldiers shuttled through the primitive jungle and slowly descended along the path on the steep hillside. "It didn't rain today, the road down the mountain will be a little easier." Patrol member Basang said, he has walked this patrol road 7 times.

Approaching the bottom of the valley, the road became more and more difficult to walk, and officers and soldiers had to wade through part of the silt road. The first class soldier Cao Leiyuan took part in the patrol mission of No. 50 boundary pillar. He accidentally slipped and fell when passing through the silt road section. The comrades behind him had quick eyes and quick hands.

About to reach the target location, the vegetation grows wildly during the rainy season, covering everyone's path. At this time, Zhang Weipeng asked the officers and soldiers to quickly put on the gloves prepared in advance, "There is'hemp' in this vegetation, and it will hurt like a needle if it touches the skin." The officers and soldiers cut out a passage with their sickles.

Arriving near the border pillar No. 50, the officers and soldiers found that the river was soaring in the rainy season, and the border pillar nearby was blocked by the turbulent river water. To be on the safe side, Zhang Weipeng discussed with the officers and soldiers and decided not to risk crossing the river. They took out the national flag on the opposite side of the border and took the solemn oath before embarking on the return journey. (Finish)
