"I Love Beirut": Mika, a singer born in Beirut, will organize a live concert on the Internet on September 19 to benefit the victims of the devastating explosion at the port of the Lebanese capital, said Friday GoFundMe, a fundraising site associated with the operation.

"Although geographically far away, my heart is broken when I think of all these families who lost their homes, their livelihoods and their loved ones in this disaster," laments the star in a statement.

"I wanted to do something to help," continues the interpreter of "Grace Kelly" who "has no doubt that the city will recover and that life (...) will resume once more".

Mika "will offer an intimate concert from a very special place, with surprises and guests" which will be broadcast live on YouTube across four time zones, further details GoFundMe.

Tickets giving access to the live will be priced at 10 euros / 10 dollars / 10 pounds, available on TicketMaster from Monday, August 24. A fundraising campaign on the GoFundMe platform will also be launched (https://www.gofundme.com/f/ilovebeirut). Profits from donations and ticket sales will be shared between the Lebanese branch of the Red Cross and Save The Children Lebanon.
