A young Muslim in love with a Christian shaved and beaten by her family in Besançon

In Besançon, a teenage girl of Muslim faith was shaved and beaten by members of her family. In question, his romantic relationship with a young Christian. Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin called for the most severe sanctions.

Her parents, her uncle and her aunt did not want her to marry a young Serbian Christian. To escape the family pressure, the two lovers run away. But during their escape, the threats of the family of the teenager are accentuated. They then decide to return and the situation escalates. She is severely beaten and shaved.

The 20-year-old alerted the police, who took the Muslim family of Bosnian origin into custody. The teenager was taken to hospital. She suffers from a broken rib and several bruises. A doctor even issued him with a temporary incapacity for work for 14 days.

She is now safe, under judicial protection in an appropriate structure.

Gérald Darmanin, Minister of the Interior and Minister of Worship, reacted very quickly on Twitter. He said he was "  deeply shocked by this act of torture on this 17-year-old girl  ". And called for “  the most severe penalties  ”.

The four adults were presented this Thursday to the prosecution and will be tried in the fall for "  violence on minors and in meetings  ".
