On its website, the police write that at 18.14 on Thursday they found an object that they assess "may be an explosive device". Barricades have been made on site and several properties have been evacuated.

According to information to SVT Nyheter Värmland, two children found the object in Stensborg's playground at Hagalund.

Police are now urging residents in the area not to go outside, but to stay inside and stay away from windows.

"This applies as long as the police do not provide another message," the police write on their website.

The alarm comes just two days after the grenade find on Kanikenäset, which ended with the police blocking off a larger area before they could blow up the object that turned out to be a Czech shock grenade.
