Until now Barack Obama had been careful not to attack Donald Trump in such a frontal way, but this Wednesday he deployed all his talent as a speaker to demolish his successor and call for a massive mobilization of voters.

Donald Trump has shown no interest in doing this job, no interest in finding common ground, no interest in using the awesome power of his office to help anyone other than himself and his friends  »He said.

The former president also launched a vibrant call for mobilization at the polls. “  This administration has shown that it will demolish democracy if it takes to win. Don't let them take your power. Don't let them take your democracy. This president wants to do everything in his power to prevent you from voting  "he assured, before concluding in a serious tone:"  I ask you to take your responsibilities as citizens, it is democracy that is at stake  ”.

Kamala Harris pleads for unity

Kamala Harris also led the assault on Donald Trump. Her lack of leadership has cost lives,  " she said before denouncing the chaos, incompetence and cruelty of her administration. “  Right now we have a president who uses our tragedies as political weapons  ,” added Joe Biden's running mate.

The vice-presidential candidate also pleaded for unity at length.  She spoke of her mother, an Indian immigrant, and painted a portrait of an America that draws its roots from the mixture of cultures, which cultivates its richness in diversity.

I accept your appointment as Vice President of the United States.
