The Military Committee recorded 105 grievances last year

The Central Military Grievances Committee in Dubai recorded 105 grievances during the past year, and settled six of them, while it issued 99 decisions and established 25 principles in its endeavor to achieve justice and fairness among military personnel and properly apply the law.

The head of the committee, Major General Mohammed Al Sharif, said that the committee was established pursuant to Decree No. (27) of 2018 issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to provide an opportunity for affiliates to grievance against the final administrative decisions issued by The Grievances and Complaints Committee in the military authorities, influencing their legal positions, their status and all their employment affairs, in a way that achieves justice and career happiness for them, believing in their pivotal role in building the nation and making the future.

He added that the committee is in charge of hearing the testimony of the two parties to the grievance, studying the documents supporting each of them and accepting the evidence presented to it, assessing their relevance to the subject of the grievance, conducting inspections and supplementary investigations, and requesting that they be provided with the necessary documents, examining and examining them, while summoning any of the employees or affiliates of the grievance’s department to attend its sessions In this regard, we are obligated to apply the provisions of Law No. (6) of 2012 regarding human resources management for local military personnel working in Dubai and its amendments, and the legislation issued in pursuance hereof, correctly and properly.

He affirmed that the formation of the committee improved the grievance mechanisms, as it became an integrated legal framework that guarantees protection of rights and fairness of law, and strengthens the stability of employment conditions for military personnel working in Dubai.

For his part, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Ahmed bin Mashar Al Muhairi, said that the committee provided a platform for the military and associates working in Dubai over the past year to submit grievances against administrative decisions, setting clear legal frameworks for managing their employment affairs and working to achieve a balance between the interests of the military authorities and the rights of the complaining affiliates. What encouraged the institutions to settle any grievances or disputes at the level of the military before they are referred to the committee.

He explained that the committee issues its final decisions on the grievance within a period not exceeding 60 days, with a period not exceeding 30 days when needed, which embodies the essence of government work based on speed in completing transactions and responding effectively to the variables.
