According to Tsepkalo, Tikhanovskaya, on the basis of the "evidence of her victory" in the presidential elections in Belarus, "should be the only legitimate head of state at the moment."

Earlier, Tsepkalo's wife called on the international community to recognize Tikhanovskaya as the Belarusian president.

On August 14, the final results of the presidential elections in Belarus were published, according to which the incumbent leader Alexander Lukashenko won with 80.1% of voters. Tikhanovskaya - 10.1% of the vote.
