FC Barcelona has fired sports director Eric Abidal.
A real evacuation is going on in the Spanish club, as on Monday Barcelona was said to have shown the door to head coach Quique Setien.
- FC Barcelona and Eric Abidal have reached an agreement to terminate the agreement binding on them, the club said on its website.
- We would like to publicly thank Abidal for his professionalism, commitment and dedication, the press release says.

Barcelona’s crazy days triggered last Friday’s 2-8 crushing defeat to Bayern Munich in the semi-finals of the Champions League. Abidal had time to work in the company for a couple of years. The former French national team defender played a total of 125 matches in the club between 2007 and 2013.
Changes are also expected on the field, and rumors of transfers around the team’s biggest star, Lionel Mess, have escalated.

Ronald Koeman has admitted, according to the Independent, that he is negotiating the washing of Barcelona’s next coach, and that he would be pleased with the transfer.
- I would like to return to Barcelona, but it will only be certain when the names are on paper. Before that, I can’t comment any more even if I wanted to, Koeman commented on hot coach speculation.
