According to reports, China has achieved good results in promoting grain saving and loss reduction: in the process of farmers’ grain storage, the correct use of farmers’ scientific grain storage equipment can reduce grain losses to less than 2%. At present, 0.5 to 2 tons of farmers’ grain storage equipment and 10 Tons of farmer’s warehouses, and 10 to 20 tons of small and medium-sized rural drying and finishing equipment have been promoted and applied; in the grain purchase process, support the construction of grain post-production service systems and the implementation of the "China Good Grain and Oil" campaign to promote grain quality , Promote grain saving and loss reduction; in the storage, transportation and processing links, develop and promote safe grain storage technology and promote appropriate processing technology to reduce unnecessary food loss and energy consumption.
"However, there is still a long way to go to reduce food losses after production. At present, the annual loss of China's food in the storage, transportation and processing links still reaches 70 billion jin. Omissions during transportation, loss of farmers' grain storage, and excessive processing are all causes of losses. "The relevant person in charge of the State Grain and Material Reserve Bureau said.
