The reactions are multiplying in recent minutes. The latest is that of the President of the Commission of the African Union (AU), Moussa Faki Mahamat, who “  strongly condemns  ” the arrest of President Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta (IBK).

The ECOWAS [Economic Community of West African States], for its part, had asked the soldiers earlier in the afternoon to return to their barracks. The West African regional organization also reiterated its opposition to any anti-constitutional political change.

Same message from the United States: Peter Pham, the American envoy for the Sahel, indicates in a message posted on Twitter to oppose "  any change of extra-constitutional government, whether in the street or by the forces defense and security  ”.

French President Emmanuel Macron told him that he was following the situation closely and condemning the ongoing attempted mutiny. He also met with his counterparts from Niger, Mahamadou Issoufou, Ivory Coast, Alassane Ouattara and Senegal Macky Sall, all three members of the ECOWAS delegation who traveled to Mali last July to find a way out of the crisis.
