With the coronavirus crisis, business travel and tourism are at half mast, limiting hotel activity. In the United Kingdom, Accor has found the solution: the group's hotels now offer rooms for people working from home, Le Figaro reports  .

Since the beginning of August, in 250 hotels across the country, self-employed workers and employees can book rooms during the day, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The rate varies from 35 pounds (38 euros) to 160 pounds (177 euros) per day depending on the hotel.

A service extended to all of Europe in September

The rooms are obviously occupied with sanitary facilities, air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Just go to the Accord website or call the chosen hotel to reserve a room. The service, called "Hotel Office", is being promoted to companies, which can find a way to offer a comfortable workspace to their employees.

The United Kingdom is acting as a precursor, but the group's hotels located in other European countries will follow in September. The group's various hotels across the continent will offer the same service. Each institution has the choice of whether or not to accept the program. In the UK almost all hotel owners said yes.
