Despite the acceleration of normalization steps between the UAE and Israel in recent days, some obstacles have contributed to delaying an Israeli team's departure to Abu Dhabi to finalize the normalization agreement.

Haaretz newspaper revealed that differences over the distribution of powers between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Mossad and the National Security Council caused a delay in the Israeli delegation's departure to the Emirates.

She stated that the three bodies are competing for the right of primacy and preference in leading the delegation of the talks with the Emirati side.

The newspaper reported that Israeli and Emirati teams have begun drafting details of the diplomatic relations agreement between the two sides, in preparation for the official talks that will take place at a later time between representatives of the two parties in Abu Dhabi.

Teams from the Israeli Foreign Ministry began examining buildings to select the official headquarters of the Israeli embassy in Abu Dhabi.

The two sides had pre-empted the signing of the relationship agreement between them and began to normalize relations on the ground through steps, including the opening of landline telephone communications and the opening of communication sites for their citizens without restrictions.

Simultaneously, this agreement continues in Israel, which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said was achieved through the logic of force, according to which Israel is not required to withdraw from any territory.
