Preliminary investigation of the Lebanon bombing: no missile or aircraft attack, three arrests for storing firecrackers and ammonium nitrate

According to local media reports on the 16th, the Lebanese judicial department stated that the preliminary investigation results of the Beirut bombing showed that there was no rumored missile or aircraft, and there was no possibility that the attack would cause the disaster. But on the other hand, there was serious negligence in the No. 12 warehouse of the port. In addition to 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate, the warehouse also stored a large amount of fireworks and firecrackers. The surveillance video showed that three workers left the warehouse at 5 pm on the 4th, about an hour. Then an explosion occurred.

It is reported that the Lebanese Public Prosecution Department has charged 25 people including the former customs chief Shafik Merhi and the current customs chief Badri Daher (Badri Daher), and the head of port security, and charged them with storing firecrackers and ammonium nitrate. The case is submitted to the judge for trial. The above three workers have been arrested. (Headquarters reporter Guan Panpan)
