Mohammed bin Rashid reviews the future work plans of the UAE government

This came when His Highness was briefed on the future work plans of the UAE government in the file of artificial intelligence, digital economy and remote work applications, which was introduced within the new ministerial formation that was approved last July, as part of the plans to develop the government work system in the country for the post-Covid phase. 19, especially in light of the growing strategic role of the digital economy, smart technology and remote work applications in running the wheel of work in various sectors, moving the economy wheel, and organizing the
movement of supply chains locally and internationally in an efficient and effective manner.
His Highness stated that the contribution of the digital economy amounted to 4.3% of the country's GDP in 2019, as a minister of state was appointed for this file in order to double the number.
His Highness said, "The digital economy has proven its efficiency and the world's need for it during the global health crisis," noting that the digital economy does not need huge facilities and enormous material resources ... it only needs minds, ideas and imaginations.
His Highness added: "The future will bring about many changes for us in health, education and trade ... and we must prepare for them from today."

During the meeting, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications Omar Sultan Al Olama reviewed a comprehensive work plan that focuses on employing future opportunities and providing tools and infrastructure to support the leadership of the UAE in anticipating and preparing for global changes.
He said, "The UAE government is a global leader in the field of digital economy, whose importance and pivotal role is its ability to provide new jobs and job opportunities, increase economic and investment opportunities, and its great contribution to enhancing economic diversification and supporting the comprehensive economic development process, in a way that contributes to the advancement of the UAE’s leading position in All Global Competitiveness Indicators. "
The scholars pointed out that the digital economy includes all economic activities and government services based on the use of digital technology and the adoption of digital transformation, especially in the areas of e-commerce, digital currencies, financial platforms, digitization of assets, communication services networks, digital products, software technologies and cloud computing.
He added that "the digital economy contributed 4.3% to the GDP of the UAE last year, and it will have a greater share in the coming years," stressing that the digital economy sector represents one of the most important enablers for digitizing services, businesses, markets and major sectors in the UAE and supporting its leadership in the region and the world. .
The Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications Omar Sultan Al Olama stated that future work plans for the digital economy sector will focus on developing various aspects related to the financial cooperation economy, the free work economy, digital markets, the participatory economy, the digital content economy, and the data and information economy.
The scholars referred to the "remote work" file that was attached to the new structure of the post-Covid-19 government system, as part of the artificial intelligence file. He said: "It is important to employ remote work applications to achieve the leadership's vision of enhancing flexibility in governance and developing infrastructure to enhance Levels of productivity, efficiency and performance of employees and workers in the government and private sectors, and keeping pace with changes in the nature of jobs and labor markets.
He reviewed the most prominent tasks and future goals of remote work applications, which are represented in reducing the institutional costs of government and private agencies, providing job opportunities for talents located far from workplaces, improving the level of government and private services, and providing them around the clock, in addition to increasing employee productivity by reducing travel times And to the workplace.
He explained that the UAE has achieved a successful experience in the rapid and flexible transition to remote work during the "Covid-19" pandemic, and the use of advanced technology and modern communication systems to facilitate work away from offices, and this advanced infrastructure has also been employed to facilitate the transition of schools and the education sector to a stage. Distance education, "as is the case in the medical field, and strengthening reliance on" telemedicine "services to facilitate community members' access to various health services.
