Dubai Cares (one of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives), in cooperation with the Atlantis Resort, The Palm Dubai, and international artist Sasha Jefri, launched an “inspiring humanitarian” initiative, which includes preparing the first painting of its kind in the world to be drawn on canvas. It would break the Guinness Book of Record as the largest painting in the world, under the patronage and presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.

The initiative, inspired by the artist Sasha's vision of enhancing communication between people after the "Covid-19" epidemic, in order to address the negative effects of the pandemic on children and youth, aims to collect more than 110 million dirhams (30 million US dollars), to communicate with one billion people about World, and to support "Dubai Cares" and its partners.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan praised the position of the UAE, which has become a pioneering force in promoting and establishing bridges of international cooperation, communication and convergence, by spreading the culture of tolerance, coexistence and peace, across the various spectrums of its diverse and multicultural society.

He emphasized that the "Inspired Humanity" initiative clearly reflects those efforts aimed at providing children and youth, regardless of their gender, nationality, race or religion, with opportunities for communication and access to means of communication, in order to pursue their education. He praised the initiative and its role in enhancing the role of the UAE in the field of digital cooperation and smart cities in the region, which was highlighted by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, in his keynote speech, during a high-level virtual session, upon launch Roadmap for digital cooperation, headed by the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres. The initiative has set an ambitious goal, to help tens of millions of children around the world communicate. Jefrey's pioneering painting, titled "The Journey of Humanity", which has been described as "the Modern Sistine Church," will be the largest global social, artistic and charitable initiative in history. The CEO of Dubai Cares, Dr. Tariq Muhammad Al Gurg, said: “This (epidemic) forced 192 countries to close schools and universities, affecting more than 1.5 billion school-age children and youth, representing about 90% of students around the world. 60 million teachers can no longer return to the classroom either. In light of this new reality, we are pleased to cooperate with the Atlantis Dubai Resort and artist Sasha Jefri, through this ambitious charitable initiative.
