The Pride party that usually takes place in Rådhusparken is canceled this year, nor will it be a pride parade as in previous years.

- The most important thing is still that people stay safe and secure. Then it's very sad that we can not join thousands of people in a cluster because it is not safe given the coronavirus. But we are very much looking forward to the coming years when we can do it again, says Jesper Persson, chairman of Jönköping Qom.

Focus on functional variations

Every year, Pride around Sweden usually puts extra focus on a group of people. Jönköping Qom ut will this year focus on what it is like to live with different functional variations and to be an LGBTQ person. Among other things, a lecture will be held on the subject.

- Even though all LGBTQ people have different conditions, there are different things that can make it more difficult or easier in life. Living both as an LGBTQ person and with functional variations can be very difficult for some.

Open air

Despite the corona pandemic putting an end to the Pride celebration in various ways, an exhibition called Normstorm will be arranged. There will also be a Pride picnic and outdoor cinema with a limited number of people.
