“The audit revealed 744 violations of the legislation of the EAEU and Russia during customs clearance and customs control of goods in the amount of 459.8 million rubles: 728 violations related to incorrect classification of goods,” the press service of the control department quotes auditor Andrei Baturkin.

In addition, "12 facts of illegal exemption from customs duties and taxes in relation to temporarily imported goods, three facts of non-compliance with the conditions for temporary import of international transport vehicles and one fact of illegal understatement of the amount of customs payments in relation to temporarily imported goods" were found.

Materials on these facts will be sent to the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia.

Nevertheless, according to the assessment of the Accounts Chamber, the FCS exceeded the forecast for budget revenues by 89.5 billion rubles, fulfilling it by 101.6%.

At the same time, the main sources of income for the federal budget were VAT (45.6%), export customs duties on crude oil and gas (19.5% and 12.1%, respectively).

In March, it became known that the volume of budget violations identified by the Accounts Chamber for 2019 exceeded the figures for 2018 by 14% and amounted to 884.6 billion rubles.
