American Jennifer Brady (49th in the world) won her first WTA title on Sunday in Lexington (Kentucky), beating Switzerland's Jil Teichmann (63rd) 6-3, 6-4 in the final.

Brady, 25, has not lost a single set in this tournament played behind closed doors and marked by the elimination from the quarter-finals of the favorite, his compatriot Serena Williams.

Brady left no chance for Teichmann, victorious in the Prague and Palermo tournaments in 2019.

The Lexington tournament is the first to be played in the United States after the long forced break due to the coronavirus pandemic.
