“I have already spoken on this score: someone wants to go on strike, let them go on strike, but they have nothing to do in the factories,” he said.

At the same time, Lukashenka called on the heads of the enterprises to warn the workers, but "not to put pressure on anyone, in any case."

“They want to lose their jobs and enterprises will lose. They will not recover further, but we understand that very well. Therefore, let the leaders deal with their teams, ”the Belarusian leader said.

According to him, if you need help from the authorities or work collectives ask to visit enterprises, then "you need to go to work collectives, answer their questions."

Lukashenka also said that on August 17 he will visit the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant, where he will answer questions.

Earlier, the work of a part of the shops of the Minsk Tractor Plant was stopped due to the workers' strike.

Mass protest actions began throughout Belarus on August 9 after the presidential elections in the country. The protests later turned into industrial strikes.
