Many Iraqi political forces have condemned the normalization agreement between the UAE and Israel, saying it is a "betrayal" for Muslims and the Palestinians.
The leader of the State of Law Coalition (26 seats out of 329), Nouri al-Maliki, said in a statement, "The path of political and economic rapprochement with the Zionists is a betrayal of trust, God and Muslims."
And Al-Maliki (a former prime minister) added, "The agreement is a crossover of the nation's sacrifices in the face of the arrogance of Zionist extremism and its constant attacks and conspiracy against Arabs and Muslims."
He considered that the cooperation protocol between the UAE and the "usurping entity", with US blessing, is one of the episodes of returning to stabilizing the scheme of humiliation and dishonor and wasting the legitimate rights recognized by international legitimacy.
He added that the Emirati move is a clear violation of the decisions of the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Organization and other international organizations, which recognized the rights of the Palestinian people to their land and its capital, Al-Quds Al-Sharif.
For its part, the Al-Fateh Alliance (47 seats in Parliament) led by Hadi Al-Amiri condemned - in a statement - the agreement between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv, describing it as a "shameful step."
The coalition called on the Arab and Islamic peoples and countries to "boycott the rulers of the Emirates, and whoever extends their hand to shake the dirty hands of the occupying Zionists."
The statement added that "normalization with Israel extends life and legitimacy to this entity, as well as recognition of its cancerous presence, which has been killing, targeting and gnawing at the Palestinian lands for 70 years."
In turn, the Secretary-General of the "Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq" movement, Qais Khazali, attacked the Emirati-Israeli normalization agreement, saying that "the humiliating position of the ruling family in the non-Arab Emirates constitutes a link in the series of betrayal and labor."
He stressed that "there are other regimes that are preparing the atmosphere for new Abtahtat, headed by the House of Saud."
And he continued in a televised speech in this regard, "The House of Saud has begun to spread the culture of openness to Zionism to present other episodes of normalization."
He concluded by saying, "We pledge that the world's free people will be the steadfast rock against the failed normalization project."

For its part, the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq condemned normalization with Israel, and called for standing with the Palestinian people.
The commission considered - in a statement - that the move to announce an agreement between the UAE and "the Zionist entity", with an American arrangement, is unjustified and unacceptable, and it only serves the occupier, and does not serve the interest of the Palestinian cause or the Arab countries and Muslim peoples. Rather, it will harm them and harm their present, future and interests, because it encourages (the Zionist entity) to continue killing, torturing and besieging the Palestinians, and enabling it to undermine Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The statement called on the UAE to reconsider and withdraw from this decision, based on the duty to take care of the interests of the nation and protect the Palestinian people from the scourge of the occupation.
What pushed the UAE to comprehensive normalization with the Zionist entity?
Does it have usurped borders, amputated sovereignty, and historical rights to run for normalization in exchange for Israel freezing annexation of the West Bank lands?
It is the betrayal and humiliation that these regimes have lived through since their inception.
Palestine will remain immortal in the conscience of the nation and will not abandon it

MP Ahmed Al-Asadi (a former spokesman for the Popular Mobilization Forces) asked, denouncing: "What pushed the UAE to comprehensive normalization with the Zionist entity?" Does it have usurped borders, amputated sovereignty, and historical rights to run for normalization in exchange for Israel freezing annexation of the West Bank lands? It is the betrayal and humiliation that these regimes have lived through since their inception. Palestine will remain immortal in the conscience of the nation and will not abandon it.
For its part, the Salvation and Development Front (11 seats in Parliament) called for an Arab stand and not forfeiting Palestinian rights.
A statement by the front considered that the agreement between the UAE and Israel - under US sponsorship - came to confirm the rupture of the Arab ranks and its lack of commitment to the decisions of the Arab agreements, and to restore the Camp David and Oslo series and their disappointing outcomes.
He added that the front condemns this agreement, and calls for an Arab stance based on not compromising Arab and Palestinian rights, considering the day of the agreement a sad day that raises an Arab memory filled with pain for what Israel has done for more than 70 years.
Last Thursday, US President Donald Trump announced that the UAE and Israel had reached an agreement to normalize relations, describing it as "historic."
After Trump announced the agreement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that his government adheres to the annexation plan, although a joint statement issued by the United States, Israel and the UAE indicated that Tel Aviv "will stop the plan to annex Palestinian lands."
The agreement was met with widespread Palestinian condemnation from the leadership and prominent factions, such as Hamas, Fatah and Islamic Jihad, while the leadership of the Palestinian Authority considered it - through a statement - "betrayal by the Emirates of Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa and the Palestinian cause."
