Al Tayer said: The establishment of public transport bus passenger stations comes as a continuation of the authority’s efforts in developing the infrastructure of the mass transit system, with the aim of encouraging residents to use mass transportation in their daily commute, noting that the two new terminals are distinguished by their unique and modular design that combines innovative and effective solutions for designs. There are parking lots for waiting and emergency buses, parking for taxis, for employees and visitors, parking for bicycles, un-air-conditioned umbrellas at the parking lots, equipped public lounges, worshipers (for men and women), offices for employees, public toilets, investment sites, as well as sites for self-service and payment machines. The architectural design was inspired by natural elements in the UAE environment, and is characterized by an integrated modern character that integrates practical interior design and distinction in the external appearance. The structural elements have emerged with their use to serve the architectural design to be part of it, taking into account the use of the appropriate architectural style for the shapes of the buildings, as well as The authority intends to implement 1550 umbrella for bus passengers, in partnership with the private sector, over the next three to four years.
