The UAE government has launched a comprehensive program to build the capabilities and experiences of the elite Emirati students in the secondary stage in government schools, and enhance their knowledge and awareness of the government's work mechanisms, its orientations, future visions, programs and development initiatives in various fields.
The training program organized by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the Emirates Government Leaders Program, during the summer vacation, aims to build a new generation capable of actively participating in the comprehensive development process, and to support national efforts to enhance the prosperity of the country over the next fifty years, by qualifying 100 students who represent The elite of high school students in government schools nationwide.
The program also aims to empower students and introduce them to government work mechanisms, the state’s vision and government agenda, the structure of the UAE government, its methodology in developing policies, preparing policies and implementing its programs, and preparing them to play a positive role in building and shaping the features of their nation’s future and serving their community in various sectors and fields. It is provided by Emirati cadres and expertise from Graduates and members of the Emirates Government Leaders Program from various federal and local government agencies.
The program, which is provided by an elite group of UAE Government Leaders Program graduates from national cadres in government agencies, seeks to train students on government work mechanisms and provide them with the necessary skills through interactive “remote” workshops, in which they train on a number of future scenarios and devise solutions to challenges.
The training program works to educate students with outstanding talents about the mechanisms of government work, and train them on a number of skills that help them understand the role of government in improving services, provide requirements for a good life and meet the aspirations of community members through an understanding of government structure, development methodology aimed at shaping the future, and getting to know The role of the government in finding innovative solutions to various challenges, and raising their awareness of the importance of the effective and positive role of community members in making the future, and the need for continuous learning and benefiting from the various experiences they go through.
The Minister of Education, Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, emphasized that the training program organized by the Ministry in cooperation with the Emirates Government Leaders Program is one of the qualitative and enriching initiatives for students, as it is concerned with formulating a generation familiar with the frameworks, goals, agenda and vision of the future state for the next fifty years by providing them with skills, knowledge, research and thinking tools. In order for them to be creative and improve at leading the wheel of progress, and to actively contribute to drawing a map of the future through distinctive and constructive propositions.
He stated that the Ministry is keen to link the Emirati school student with the concept of integrated government work with its various dimensions, and to remain in direct contact with the best government practices that contribute to refining his experiences and bring him closer to the state’s vision, aspirations and aspirations, and to facilitate the entrance to that through this training program, indicating that we are thus We promote modern concepts in government administration, which contributes to building thoughtful leadership generations, who contribute to developing perceptions and devising solutions to various challenges, and we want to devote these concepts in practice and theory, which helps to achieve an important educational goal, represented by the critical, creative and responsible student.
For her part, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, Ahoud Bint Khalfan Al-Roumi, said that the participants in the program represent the elite of the elite, chosen from the distinguished Emirati students who, through their training, seek to raise an empowered generation that possesses awareness of the future directions of the state, and knowledge of the government's work methodologies in development and development. Rehabilitating him, building his capabilities, and empowering him with practical tools, which will support national efforts in preparing for the next 50 years, leading the UAE to the first positions in the world.
Al-Roumi indicated that the participants in the program will contribute to the dissemination and transfer of knowledge to their fellow students about government work methodology and future directions for the UAE through sharing the knowledge, experiences and skills they have acquired in training.
6 main axes
The program is based on six main axes aimed at introducing government initiatives that reflect positively on the lives of individuals and society, and their role in developing proactive solutions that enhance their readiness. The first axis, “How the government creates the future vision”, focuses on the mechanisms that the government uses to prepare for the future, by developing strategic plans And government visions that contribute to achieving its goals.
The second axis, "How the government is managed", includes several components, the most important of which is the government structure by introducing the leaders of the UAE, the executive, legislative and judicial authorities, and the role of the Council of Ministers in adopting the most important decisions and defining them. The third axis deals with the "different trends of the government" and the innovative initiatives launched by the government over the past years. The fourth axis, “How does the government develop initiatives,” includes introducing the most important mechanisms for launching various government initiatives, and its efforts to directly involve community members in designing these initiatives. The axis "Mechanisms for following up on government action" focuses on the annual governmental performance follow-up system by measuring performance indicators and setting targets for achieving them within the national indicators, and following up the work of various government agencies through the Federal National Council. The sixth axis “challenges faced by the government” aims to introduce the most important current challenges that the government is working to solve.
