The UAE government has launched a comprehensive program to build the capabilities and experiences of the elite Emirati students in the secondary stage in government schools, and enhance their knowledge and awareness of the government's work mechanisms, its orientations, future visions, programs and development initiatives in various fields.

The training program organized by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the Emirates Government Leaders Program, during the summer vacation, aims to build a new generation capable of actively participating in the comprehensive development process, and to support national efforts to enhance the prosperity of the country over the next fifty years, by qualifying 100 students who represent The elite of high school students in government schools nationwide.

The program also aims to empower students and introduce them to government work mechanisms, the state’s vision and government agenda, the structure of the UAE government, its methodology in developing policies, preparing policies and implementing its programs, and preparing them to play a positive role in building and shaping the features of their nation’s future and serving their community in various sectors and fields. It is provided by Emirati cadres and expertise from Graduates and members of the Emirates Government Leaders Program from various federal and local government agencies.

Al-Roumi indicated that the participants in the program will contribute to the dissemination and transfer of knowledge to their fellow students about government work methodology and future directions for the UAE through sharing the knowledge, experiences and skills they have acquired in training.

The program is based on six main axes aimed at introducing government initiatives that reflect positively on the lives of individuals and society, and their role in developing proactive solutions that enhance their readiness. The first axis, “How the government creates the future vision”, focuses on the mechanisms that the government uses to prepare for the future, by developing strategic plans And government visions that contribute to achieving its goals.

The second axis, "How the government is managed", includes several components, the most important of which is the government structure by introducing the leaders of the UAE, the executive, legislative and judicial authorities, and the role of the Council of Ministers in adopting the most important decisions and defining them. The third axis deals with the "different trends of the government" and the innovative initiatives launched by the government over the past years. The fourth axis, “How does the government develop initiatives,” includes introducing the most important mechanisms for launching various government initiatives, and its efforts to directly involve community members in designing these initiatives. The axis "Mechanisms for following up on government action" focuses on the annual governmental performance follow-up system by measuring performance indicators and setting targets for achieving them within the national indicators, and following up the work of various government agencies through the Federal National Council. The sixth axis “challenges faced by the government” aims to introduce the most important current challenges that the government is working to solve.
