The full text of the letter is as follows:

There is only one China in the world, and Taiwan has been an inalienable part of Chinese territory since ancient times. The one-China principle is universally recognized by the international community, including the United Nations and Germany. On October 25, 1971, the 26th United Nations General Assembly passed Resolution 2758 by an overwhelming majority, recognizing the government of the People’s Republic of China as the sole legal representative of China in the United Nations organization and restoring all the legal rights of the People’s Republic of China in the United Nations. On the basis of the one-China principle, China has established formal diplomatic relations with 180 countries around the world.

The Taiwan issue is China's internal affairs. It has a bearing on China's core interests and the national sentiments of the Chinese people. It is not a so-called "democracy" issue. "Peaceful reunification, one country, two systems" is the best way to achieve national reunification. We are willing to strive for the prospect of peaceful reunification with the utmost sincerity and efforts. The "Taiwan independence" split is doomed to fail.

The good news is that there is no shortage of rational voices in Germany, but we still have to be vigilant against advocating irresponsible remarks. China has always supported Germany's pursuit of national reunification, so it has reason to expect the same understanding and support from the German government and people on the issue of Chinese reunification.
