The former manager of the Toulon rugby club Mourad Boudjellal, candidate for the acquisition of Olympique de Marseille with Mohamed Ajroudi, said on Friday that he was withdrawing from the offer as "the two communicators" of the A Franco-Tunisian businessman remained associated with the project.

"It does not mean that I abandon the project", nuance however the former president of Rugby Club Toulonnais, proposed to take the presidency of the club in the event of redemption, an assumption however many times rejected by the management of the OM who has been hammering for months not wanting to sell.

"As long as the two communicators that there are currently are there, I am no longer there," Mourad Boudjellal told AFP about Marc Deschenaux, lawyer representing the interests of Mr. Ajroudi, and Stéphane Cohen, co-founder of Wingate, one of the two investment banks mandated by the Franco-Tunisian, confirming information from RMC Sport.

"These people are two plagues in the project. As long as they are there, nothing will progress. They may have done things on the side, but in this project they are completely in the West", a- he lambasted.

Thursday, Mohamed Ajroudi said in a statement to continue discussions with the American owner of the football club Frank McCourt, who has nevertheless continued to assure in recent weeks that he did not wish to sell the Marseille club while the offers of the buyer clans have multiplied since the end of June.

"They have been sending rude statements for a month for which I have not been consulted where they explain that OM players are second-class players, that I can not validate," continued Mr. Boudjellal.

"We are in the grotesque, after a while, we must still also respect Mr. McCourt who had said: + I am not a salesman. + We cannot try to violate him", he added.

"In the position I had from Mr. Ajroudi a few days ago, everything was fine. If that's it + everything is fine +, for me everything is bad", he concluded.
