This is stated in the release following the videoconference of the foreign ministers of the EU countries.

The release notes that the Lebanese authorities need to conclude an agreement with the International Monetary Fund to provide the country with financial support, subject to the implementation of reforms.

The ministers also stressed the need to ensure a credible investigation into the 4 August bombing in Beirut.

Earlier in Lebanon, criminal cases were opened against 25 citizens in the case of an explosion in the port of Beirut, the country's chief prosecutor Hasan Uweidat said.
