Jared Kushner, an advisor to the US President, said that there is "a very high possibility that Israel and another Arab country announce the normalization of relations, while an Israeli official revealed that Bahrain will be next, amid American confirmation that the plan to suspend the annexation of Palestinian lands is temporary."

In turn, Trump's National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien expected similar agreements between Israel and Arab countries, and said, "We believe that there are other countries ready" for a move of this kind.

O'Brien said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan or his representative are invited to an "official signing ceremony at the White House."

But an Israeli official said it was likely that Bahrain would sign a peace agreement with Israel in the near future.

The Israeli official, who refused to reveal his name to the Israeli Kan channel, did not mention any details of the efforts or efforts to sign a peace agreement between Manama and Tel Aviv, while no official statements were issued from the two countries in this regard.

It is noteworthy that Bahrain welcomed the agreement announced by US President Donald Trump on Thursday, describing it as historic.

Bahrain expressed its congratulations to the UAE and its "wise" leadership for the agreement and for taking steps to enhance the chances of reaching peace in the Middle East.

"The Kingdom commends the sincere diplomatic efforts made by the UAE, stressing that this historic step will contribute to strengthening stability and peace in the region," said a statement carried by its official news agency.

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump announced that the UAE and Israel had reached a peace agreement, which he described as historic. Trump said in a speech that Israel and the UAE will fully normalize their diplomatic relations, exchange ambassadors and diplomatic missions, and begin cooperation in various fields. Trump considered the agreement the most important achievement in a quarter of a century.

Temporary suspension

While the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash, on Thursday, justified his country's decision to normalize relations with Israel by saying that it came to preserve the chances of a two-state solution by freezing Israel’s plan to annex Palestinian lands in the West Bank, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he did not agree to removing sovereignty over the West Bank. From his agenda in return for reaching an agreement with the Emirates. He explained that what he was asked to do was to wait on the extension of Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank, and he was not asked to write it off.

For his part, US President Donald Trump said that the Israeli annexation plan is not on the table at the present time, indicating that he cannot talk about whether Israel will implement it in the future or not.

He was supported by the US ambassador to Israel David Friedman, who said that freezing the annexation of West Bank lands means a temporary halt, and that the freeze will not last.

In this context, Jared Kushner said that Israel will not implement the plan to annex Palestinian lands unless an understanding is reached between it and the United States. Kushner revealed in a press conference that there were scheduled talks in the coming months between Washington and Tel Aviv in this regard, but they were suspended for the time being due to the peace agreement with the UAE.

The former US envoy to the Middle East peace process, Jason Greenblatt, described the Israeli-Emirati agreement as astonishing and historic. He added in an interview with Al-Jazeera that the Palestinian leadership does not have the right to reject the agreement.

In turn, the head of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Republican Senator Jim Rich, welcomed the agreement, which he described as historic to normalize relations between the UAE and Israel, and expressed his hope that he would see other countries in the Arab and Islamic world follow the example of the UAE.

Rich said in a statement that he looks forward to greater cooperation between two of the United States' major partners in addressing common challenges and threats across the region.

Rich considered that President Donald Trump, his advisor and son-in-law Jared Kushner worked on this issue for a long period of time, which deserves praise for their leadership to reach this agreement, which he described as comprehensive, pointing out that the agreement includes Israel's commitment to suspend the annexation of the West Bank.

However, Democratic Representative Rachida Tlaib criticized the agreement and said that this deal will not alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians, but rather increase its normalization.

Tlaib described - in a tweet on Twitter - the agreement as a new deal between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

And she considered that the core of the issue was not related to the annexation of lands, but rather to the continuous and destructive apartheid.

The invitation of Mohammed bin Zayed

In this context, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin invited the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Zayed, to visit Israel, following the announcement of the peace agreement between Israel and the UAE.

The Maariv newspaper website quoted Rivlin as saying that the agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates is an important and strategic turning point for new operations in the region.

Rivlin congratulated the President of the United States, the Israeli Prime Minister and the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi for signing the agreement, describing it as an important and impressive achievement.

Within the framework of the international welcome, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in a tweet on Twitter that "the decision by the UAE and Israel to normalize relations is very good news."

He added, "I very much hope that annexation in the West Bank will not go ahead, and today's agreement to suspend those plans is a welcome step on the road to a more peaceful Middle East."

British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said, "The time has come for direct talks between the Palestinians and Israel, (they are) the only way to a lasting peace."

For his part, French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian, welcomed the agreement today, Thursday, and said that France welcomes the normalization of diplomatic relations between Israel and the UAE.

The minister said in a statement that Israel's decision to suspend the planned annexation of areas in the West Bank based on the historic agreement is a "positive step," adding that the suspension should become a final measure.

"The agreement paved the way for the resumption of talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians with the aim of establishing two states," Le Drian added, describing this as the "only option" to achieve peace in the region.

Arab and international positions

In the Arab world, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi praised the agreement, and said in a tweet, "I followed with great interest and appreciation the tripartite joint statement between the United States of America, the sisterly United Arab Emirates and Israel on the agreement to stop Israel's annexation of Palestinian lands," considering that they are steps "that will bring peace to the country." Middle east".

For his part, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi affirmed that the agreement "will be linked to what Israel will do. If it deals with it as an incentive to end the occupation and meet the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and an independent and viable state with occupied Jerusalem as its capital on the June 4, 1967 lines, the region will advance towards an investigation. A just peace, but if Israel does not do this, the conflict will deepen, which will explode threatening the security of the entire region. "

In this context, a spokesperson for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, welcomed the agreement and expressed his hope that "it will provide an opportunity for Israeli and Palestinian leaders to engage again in serious negotiations that achieve the two-state solution in accordance with UN resolutions, international law and bilateral agreements."

The official announcement of the Emirati-Israeli normalization came after years of talks and reports about Emirati and Israeli relations in the technical and military fields. Earlier, the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Anwar Gargash, announced the UAE's readiness to work with Israel in several fields.

In Libya, a member of the Presidency Council of the Government of National Accord, Muhammad Ammari, considered the normalization agreement between the UAE and Israel a betrayal, not surprising.
