It was a postcar driver who had called his friend and said he was robbed with an automatic weapon, and then hung up. The worried friend then called and called 112.

- It started a feverish activity and sent a large number of police cars, including helicopters, says police spokesman Robert Loeffel, to P4 Kalmar.

According to the Barometer, it was around ten police cars, and a helicopter from Malmö, that set off for Färjestaden.

But after a while, the police sensed trouble, as there was only one alarm call. When they finally got hold of the driver, it turned out that something was going on, without a kind of joke with the friend.

- We have drawn up a report of a false alarm against the driver. It was a bad joke that took up a lot of resources, says Robert Loeffel.
