In detail, the General Authority for Islamic Affairs continued the awareness campaign on its official pages on social media platforms, about praying in mosques during the period of precautionary measures taken by the state to confront the outbreak of the new Corona pandemic (Covid-19), as it broadcasted a number of new fatwas to its official Ifta Center. , In response to various questions about the etiquette, rulings and transactions of visiting mosques in the current period. The commission published a fatwa on the ruling on placing dates or toothpicks on the door of the mosque as charity or a donation in front of the mosque, in which it stated that charity is one of the greatest deeds in reward, but in such a current circumstance, placing things that people touch and are a cause of transmitting disease to them, a person may sin Do, rather than be rewarded.

She explained that the charity required in such circumstances is charity with money for those in need, and its electronic methods through the official authorities are many, especially since this is the charity offered to all good deeds, and the most rewarding in light of the current circumstances.

The official Fatwa Center responded to a question regarding the ruling on crowding of worshipers when entering or leaving the mosque, saying: “It is not permissible according to Sharia and custom for the worshiper to cause crowding at the door of the mosque, whether during entering or leaving it, and achieving physical distancing - with the spread of a virus Our newborn kurna or other contagious diseases - a religious obligation, so it is not permissible for a Muslim to compete or allow its occurrence, especially since our true religion urges us to order, and orders us to arrange. ” He added, "It is known that we must observe such instructions in the event of prosperity, then observance of them is more obligatory in such circumstances that we are going through, and we all hope that people will respond to that, and we rely on their awareness to keep our mosques safer and more secure." According to the commission, the list of precautionary measures for going to mosques is ablution at home, washing hands with soap, using sterilizers, and mandating worshipers to wear a muzzle when coming to the mosque for each prayer, calling on worshipers to bring a special rug for prayer, and not to leave it in the mosque. The list also included adherence to homes for senior citizens, residents, children and sick people, and an attempt to avoid touching exposed surfaces or door handles, adherence to instructional posters, and a safe distance (two meters), stressing the need to perform Sunnahs at home, and to limit the performance of obligatory duties in mosques.
