The Yemeni Houthi group attacked the Emirati-Israeli agreement sponsored by the United States, while the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council considered it a "courageous" step.

A spokesman for the Houthi group, Muhammad Abdul Salam, said that the Emirati move had taken the secret to the public.

He explained - in a statement to the group's Al Masirah channel - that Israel will not stop settlement, and the Emirati claim to stop it is a naive claim to justify its position.

In turn, the group’s leader, Dhaifallah al-Shami, described the agreement as a stigma.

Al-Shami said - in a statement to the march - that the declaration of direct relations between the Emirates and the Zionist entity is a stigma condemned by everyone who still carries in his veins the blood of Arabism, freedom and the values of religion.

He added, "The joint American-Zionist-Emirati statement gives a message of defiance by the nation's enemies against all Muslims and free people in the world, and this is condemned and rejected."

And through a joint statement, on Thursday, the United States, Israel and the UAE announced an agreement to fully normalize relations between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv, in an agreement that is the first between a Gulf state and Israel.

On the other hand, the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council said, Thursday, that the normalization agreement between the UAE and Israel is a courageous decision by a wise leader, in reference to Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed.

This came in a tweet by Vice President of the Transitional Council, Hani Bin Buraik, on his documented page on Twitter.

Brik considered that the agreement laid down a road map towards joint cooperation with Israel to reach bilateral relations, adding that it serves the Arabs' choice of a two-state solution, serving the Palestinian people, and ending the trade in the issue, as he put it.

And the Southern Transitional Council receives military and political support from the UAE, which has deployed its forces in Yemen since March 2015, as part of a Saudi-led military coalition against the Houthis.
