On Thursday morning, Habo's municipal councilor, Susanne Wahlström (M), took the first sod for the new district Kärnekulla in Habo.
- It is incredibly exciting to be part of and see a district grow, something we have already seen in Bränninge and Söderkulla, she says.

Susanne Wahlström (M) further says that it is gratifying for the municipality to have a greater housing variation in the form of more apartments.

The district should suit everyone

The upcoming district will include 800 homes in the form of condominiums and rental apartments. Some of the homes will also be terraced houses. A school, preschool, sports hall, grocery store, shop premises and other services will also be built.

The construction company Tosito, which is working on the project, has the ambition to create a district similar to Munksjöstaden in Jönköping, which they are also behind. The project is expected to be completed in ten years, according to Tosito.
