When the rescue service arrived at the scene just before 6.30 pm, the fire had been extinguished. But then the lightning struck in about the same place once more.
The electrical cabinet was destroyed but no one was injured during the severe thunderstorm and no air traffic was affected as the airport is closed during the summer. Malung's electricity network will repair the damage during the evening.
