A few weeks before the start of the school year, many companies are wondering how to set up the return of their employees while respecting the health protocol. At the microphone of Europe 1, the vice-president of the National Association of HRDs calls on the government to vote quickly on the measures applied to companies in September.

For companies, the summer is studious: we must prepare for a start of the 2020 school year which, with the coronavirus, promises to be a bit special. All are obviously hoping for a return to normal ... but the indicators are not good. According to the latest DGS report, the increase in the number of cases in France has been unprecedented since May, with a "clear deterioration" in indicators. Wearing a mask, already provided for in the health protocol provided by the Ministry of Labor, could be reinforced. Enough to leave some human resources managers wondering: what if the best possible return to school would be one with teleworking?

Teleworking had seduced during confinement

Widely deployed during confinement, the device had won over many employees, as Europe 1 had observed. The health authorities had invited companies to continue teleworking beyond May 11, upon exiting the confinement. But taking advantage of the reduced workforce with the holidays, many companies have been able to bring back some of their employees. Three weeks before the start of the school year, companies could tell everyone to go home.

More barrier measures, less user-friendliness

Because several human resources departments could abandon the idea of bringing back all their employees in September, because with a reinforced health system, it would be too complicated to set up. "The first argument that we use to bring back people who do not really want to come back, is to say that they will find the collective logic of the company, advance at the microphone of Europe 1 Benoît Serre, vice-president of the National Association of Human Resources Directors (ANDRH). "But if we put on masks, maintain barrier gestures and further strengthen the measures, the somewhat convivial character or joint work that you have in companies is going to dwindle sharply. "

Laurent Pietraszewski in favor of an evolution of the protocol

According to him, a strengthening of the health system will be synonymous with an increase in teleworking. "It will be an argument to say: 'But why do you want me to come back when I cannot work with my colleagues? As much as I work remotely!'" The ANDRH therefore calls on the government to decide quickly on the measures applied to companies at the start of the school year, so that everyone has time to organize themselves. Invited from Europe 1 on Thursday, Secretary of State Laurent Pietraszewski said he was in favor of changing the protocol on wearing a mask in business.
