It has in many ways been a tough spring and summer for the county's cultural workers - But the artist Malena Olsson has still been able to show her art outdoors - by regulating the number of visitors.

This weekend, Malena Olsson will show her works of art in Väggavarvet in Karlshamn, something that has become an annual tradition for six years. It is the Baltic Sea that is the common thread through her exhibitions and this year she highlights the wrecks found on the seabed.

- There are an insane number of wrecks in the Baltic Sea because they never break down in our sea, she says.

Dropping visitors to the boat show

Last year, Karlshamn's boat show was held in Väggahamnen at the same time as Malena Olsson had her exhibition Ålamörker. The fair attracted 10,000 visitors and several of them took the opportunity to enter Väggavarvet.

When this year's fair has been canceled as a result of the corona virus, she believes it could have a negative effect on the number of exhibition visitors. Despite the infection, she hopes that people will venture to Väggavarvet this weekend.

- I can control who comes in and out. Then everything happens for three days, so you can choose when you come here.

The exhibition will be inaugurated tomorrow Friday at 6 pm, by marine archaeologist Mikael Björk at Blekinge Museum.
