70,000 canceled operations - and the queues continue to grow

A survey conducted by SVT among Sweden's regions shows a great deal of concern regarding the possibility of working out the operating queues this autumn.                              

The regions of Dalarna and Västra Götaland state that the queues will increase further this summer.                                       

- In the past, we have sometimes bought places in other regions. It is not possible now, says Lotta Olmarken Ingler, health and medical care director in the Dalarna region.                                                 

If the pandemic continues, according to the Swedish Medical Association, there is a risk that 200,000 operations will be canceled this year.
