The Ministry of Education has granted private schools administrations in the northern emirates (Ajman, Fujairah, Umm al-Quwain and Ras al-Khaimah) the freedom to implement the appropriate “education” scenario, in consultation with the students' families, as one of the scenarios proposed for the continuation of the educational process under the current health conditions.

School administrations stated that choosing "remote education" will not reduce tuition fees, pointing out that the cost involved in implementing this scenario is not less than the cost of traditional education.

In detail, the Ministry affirmed in its response to "Emirates Today", its keenness on the continuity of the educational process, taking into account the necessary precautionary measures to maintain the safety of students and workers in the educational field.

She said that she left the private schools to choose the education system that is compatible with their capabilities, after taking the necessary measures to know the opinions of students and their families.

On the other hand, private school administrations told Emirates Today that they had contacted the families of their students about choosing the appropriate educational system for their children during the first semester.

The director of Al Shoala Educational Foundation, Ibrahim Baraka, stated that the two school administrations of the Foundation in Sharjah and Ajman discussed with their students the most appropriate education system, indicating that 60% of families chose "direct school education", while 40% preferred distance education during First semester.

Baraka stressed that the school will work to accommodate students who wish to attend full school hours, as part of precautionary measures to prevent Corona virus, indicating that if the number of those who wish to attend school exceeds the permissible limit to achieve physical distancing, as one of the precautionary measures, they will be divided into two groups. , So that the students of each group go on for one week, and receive a virtual education another week.

He pointed out that the school is about to install large smart screens in every semester, and connect them to the Internet, in preparation for the application of direct transfer of the lessons from the classroom to the students' devices at home, so that the student sees the whole classroom of students and teachers, and participates in answering questions, and interacts with His colleagues are with them.

He pointed out that school fees will not be affected by the choice of the educational system, whether in the school or "remotely", attributing that to the fact that the expenses incurred by the school if it adopts the virtual education system, are similar to the expenses required in direct school education, but rather exceeding them in some cases.

The deputy director of Ibn Khaldoun Private School, Faten Saeed, said that the hybrid education system is the best scenario that can be applied, especially in light of the variables resulting from the Corona pandemic, as this system provides the required opportunity for students to interact together in the classroom. It is necessary to teach some subjects, especially those that require experimenting and the use of educational and demonstration aids. The hybrid education also qualifies students to deal well with technology through distance education.

She pointed out that the school discussed the education system for the next academic year with the parents of its students, and the result was that 50% of them wanted direct school education for their children, while 50% preferred distance education, in the interest of their children's safety.

The director of a private school in Ajman, who preferred not to be named, stated that the school will divide the students into two groups, provided that the first group will study inside the classroom, while the second group will receive education virtually, in conjunction with the academic session inside the classroom, stressing that the “hybrid education” that combines Virtual and school education is the best for students, because it guarantees safety for them, in addition to achieving social interaction between them, and studying scientific materials in a practical way, inside the school laboratory.

On the other hand, the mother of a student in a private school in Ajman said that the school stipulated that students wishing to study directly in the classroom, pay the fees quickly. I prioritize seat reservation for the student whose family pays the fees first.

She pointed out that a large number of family members prefer to study in school, because the majority of them are employees, and distance education requires the student to follow up at home from one of his parents.
