Alain Griset, Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Economy and Finance, in charge of SMEs is the guest of Europe 1. While the Prime Minister has announced that he wants to extend the obligation to wear a mask, in particular on the premises of work, Alain Griset justifies the need for this choice to fight against the coronavirus.

INTERVIEW

Wearing a mask in all companies is an avenue that Prime Minister Jean Castex is considering. Alain Griset, Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Economy and Finance, in charge of SMEs, invited from Europe 1, explains that the government's objective is to allow both employees to work in complete safety but also to give the possibility for companies to leave.

"For companies, there are already good practice guides"

While Jean Castex evoked the possibility of "generalizing as much as possible the wearing of a mask in the workplace", the Minister Delegate in charge of SMEs is more cautious. "There are two objectives that must continue to be pursued: to try to maintain a quality of health protection, and to do everything so that economic activity resumes", explains Alain Griset.

According to him, "for companies, there are already good practice guides that guarantee this health security". However, if the indicators of the epidemic showed a real recovery, Alain Griset does not exclude going further. "If we have to go further because the virus is growing, companies will have to adapt, but the key is to be able to develop the economy."
