China News Service, Fuzhou, August 12 (Shi Yongming, Tu Chuang, Zheng Yuxiang) During the hot and humid weather, a squadron of the Mobile Detachment of the Armed Police Force Fujian Corps overcame the effects of high temperature and high humidity and strictly organized police dogs to carry out obstacles, bites, and search for "explosives". Skill training will further improve the overall quality of police dogs and the ability of human-dog coordination to lay a solid foundation for the implementation of diverse tasks.

The police dog is the "comrade-in-arms" of the armed police officers and soldiers, and a special combatant in the barracks, playing an important role in carrying out tasks.

Police dog squad leader Jie Guangguo has been dealing with police dogs for nearly 7 years. In 2013, he accidentally injured his hand during a training session and was assigned to the police dog class to help during his recovery. At first, Jie Guangguo, who was determined to be a special warfighter, was a little bit reluctant, and felt that he seemed to be farther away from the "special warfare dream". With more and more contact with police dogs, Jie Guangguo slowly fell in love with this kind of life, and participated in training camp in 2014 and officially became a trainer. Recalling the original choice, he said: "Humans and dogs cooperate, and they are full of fighting power."

In the eyes of ordinary people, the police dog class is mainly for police dog training, and the trainers are relatively relaxed, but this is not the case for trainers such as Jie Guangguo. In addition to the police dog training, the squadron's physical training and assessment, the soldiers of the police dog squad did not fail. During obstacle training, some police dogs need the guidance and encouragement of the trainer, and sometimes they are also held for auxiliary exercises; in the hunting training, the trainer often runs several kilometers with the police dog. Talking about the feeling of training, Xie Guangguo often said: "When the dog goes out, we are all sweaty."

The police dog "Dolly" was relatively timid when he first served, and was very scared when he saw strangers. Every time he was trained, the trainer had to lift it out of the kennel, and the trainer had to feed it with his hands every time he took food. In order to increase trust and establish an emotional connection with "Dolly" as soon as possible, the trainer Bi Yankang chews the steamed buns and meat food every time after eating, so that "Dolly" will become familiar with his "smell" as soon as possible. . It took more than a month for "Dolly" to successfully overcome the problem of timidity and became more and more "on the road" in training.

"Route" is a Marinoa dog, also called a horse dog. He has participated in the "BRIC" security mission of the "Year Games" and is the oldest "leader" among the police dogs of the squadron. It has been among the best in police dog competitions, and has been tempered by countless failures in training. Due to the age of the dog, "Route" retired in 2018. Nowadays, the dog has been more than ten years old and retired for more than two years, and he gets a little excited every time he hears the trainer's command, and seems to want to continue training. Many times, it sits at the door of the kennel, quietly guarding the hot land of the barracks.

Not long ago, the squadron organized a learning activity from the veteran "Route". Instructor Zhou Nan led all officers and men to review the bits and pieces of "Route" during his service. Many officers and soldiers stopped for a long time in front of the "Route" propaganda panel, and they also understood the value of perseverance and the meaning of loyalty. (Finish)
