There was no push from Wall Street which yesterday interrupted a series of consecutive rising sessions. Milan is still up (+ 0.23%), as is Paris (+ 0.36%), while Frankfurt is flat (+ 0.01%). On the other hand, the rise in London was more marked (+ 0.61%) after the figure for gross domestic product which fell by 20% in the second quarter, but above analysts' forecasts.

The industrialists are hurting on the Piazza Affari list, with Pirelli and Chn Industrial both down by more than one percentage point.

The descent of gold stops. From the all-time high of $ 2,070 an ounce on Friday, the yellow metal remains at yesterday's closing value at 1,919.

On the foreign exchange market, the Euro stable against the Dollar with the exchange rate at 1.1731.
