The alliance, consisting of the Moderates, the Center Party, the Christian Democrats and the Liberals, in the Blekinge Region does not want to wait to evaluate the management of the corona crisis until it is over, but wants to start already this autumn. Therefore, the Alliance has now produced a proposal for a corona commission.

In short, the proposal is about evaluating how the region has coped with the crisis so far and what it has done well and less well.

Want to be prepared for future crises

- The goal of our proposal to the Corona Commission is to create conditions for good coordination in future crises, epidemics or pandemics so that the impact on the economy, healthcare, public transport, companies and the rest of society can be limited as much as possible, says Emma Stjernlöf (M ), chairman of the health and medical care committee.

The Commission shall carry out an impartial evaluation, which shall be completed in the context of the 2020 annual accounts.

It is important that the work starts quickly

- The corona crisis differs from previous crises in one important respect, it takes place over a long period of time and lacks a clear end. That is why it is important that the work begins as soon as possible so that we can draw the lessons we need, says Emma Stjernlöf.

The alliance's proposal will be up in the regional board's working committee on Tuesday.
