The police tell of a phone call from a person who found two crying children in a car that was parked in the middle of the sun at a place in Helsingborg. The car's windows were nerve-wracking two to three centimeters.

The child's parent came to the car after a few minutes and the police did not have to pull out. It is unclear how long the children sat in the car and how they felt. But now the police warn: Never leave children or animals in a car in the middle of the summer sun.

Gets very hot quickly

- The temperature rises very quickly and it can result in heat stroke, says Eva-Lotta Hermansson Truedsson, the police's press officer.

When the police did a test, the temperature went from 27 to 58 degrees in one hour.

Every summer, the police are forced to pull out and smash windows to usually rescue animals from overheated cars. But even the public is allowed to smash a car window if the situation is judged to be acute with great danger to those or those in the car.
