On a daily basis, they are spread all over the world, but once a year, SVT's foreign employees gather to tell about their existence during a two-hour live program - and meet the audience in a chat.

- Being a correspondent means that you get to be part of historical things. Leaders who are elected, leaders who are fired and terrible things like terrorist attacks and horrific human suffering, says the foreign reporter and former Africa correspondent Johan Ripås.

A wounded Europe on the agenda

The program has three main topics: A wounded Europe, the corona pandemic and the great powers.

There will also be talks about how it was in place during the explosions in Beirut and about the future climate. Participants include Christoffer Wendick, Stefan Åsberg, Carina Bergfeldt, Ulrika Bergsten, Stina Blomgren, Bert Sundström and Samir Abu Eid.

Is there anything you have always wanted to ask about how SVT's correspondents work? Now you have the chance to chat with them directly.

- All my correspondent colleagues have come home from the world and will tell about their experiences and experiences, says Johan Ripås.

Ask your questions directly to the reporters

Due to the prevailing pandemic, the correspondents gather in the TV house in Stockholm for an audience-free broadcast together with the presenters Anna Hedenmo and Johan Ripås.

The program will be broadcast on Wednesday 12 August at 19.00 on SVT2 and on SVT Play.

You can also chat with the correspondents on svt.se or in the Duo app. The chat starts in connection with the broadcast and continues until 10 pm.
