According to the Swedish Teachers' Association (LR), it is mainly teachers who are themselves at risk of becoming infected who have expressed their concerns before the start of the term. Now that the students are going back and being taught on site in the school premises, it can be difficult to keep the distance.

- As a teacher, you are very much guided by where to be with whom. Good planning at school is required for how to solve it. The teachers usually want to go back, because they miss the students. But at the same time, there is a fear, especially among people in the risk group, says Åsa Fahlén, chairman of LR.

How each upper secondary school should do to avoid teachers and students being exposed to infection is up to each individual principal. In several parts of the country, the schedule has already been changed so that there are not too many students staying at the school at the same time and to avoid congestion in public transport.
