12 August 2020The United States yesterday recorded 46,808 new cases of coronavirus and another 1,074 deaths: this is what emerges from the counts of Johns Hopkins University: the data bring the total number of infections since the beginning of the pandemic to 5,141,208 and the total of deaths to 164,537.

Brazil, over 101,000 deaths: towards agreement for Russian vaccine
In Brazil, 101,752 people have lost their lives from complications related to the coronavirus and 3,057,470 those who have been infected. They are data from Johns Hopkins University, while the Brazilian state of Parana says it is interested in the vaccine announced yesterday by Russia. In Germany 1226 new infections, a record since May
Germany records a surge in new coronavirus infections: according to data from the Robert Koch Institut, the national epidemiological center, in the 24 hours the infections grew by 1226 units to a total of 218,519 cases. This is the biggest increase since May. Six victims, for a total of 9207.

The German Health Minister, Jens Spahn, described the new evolution of the pandemic as "extremely worrying". Belgium, mandatory mask in Brussels
The use of the mask in all public places in the Brussels region is mandatory from today to cope with the increase in coronavirus cases: the regional government announced it.
