The forecasts were correct, a heat wave swept over the region over the weekend and thus attracted large numbers of people to bathing areas and outdoor cafes. The pictures speak their clear language. There was a shortage of distances on several beaches, and at the same time blue light staff were met by incorrectly parked cars at the driveways. Roads whose passability can be the difference between life and death for a person in need.

The heat continues

The near future promises new hot days, and the most popular places along the West Coast also report significant congestion problems, not least on ferries, at quays and in guest harbors, the County Administrative Board writes in its report. The report states that the growing concern is the age group 20-29 years, here the spread of infection is increasing.

- Admittedly, young adults cope better with the disease in general, but for society as a whole, the spread of infection in the age group is of course worrying, the report writes.

The municipalities' figures otherwise look fairly stable compared with the previous week. Four out of ten report some deficiencies in compliance, while half think that the congestion situation is under control at all.

In the clip below, you can hear what some of the visitors at Näset's bathing area in Gothenburg thought about the crowds there.
