“The Ambassador of Belarus was summoned to the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday to give explanations about the statement of President Lukashenko, with which we in no way can agree. We want to find out why he uttered such words, "TASS quotes the words of Czech Foreign Minister Tomas Petřicek.

He also clarified that the Czech side has expressed "a strong protest in connection with this statement" and is awaiting the presentation of evidence.

Earlier, Lukashenka said that the Belarusian authorities recorded “calls from Poland, Great Britain and the Czech Republic” to protesters against the background of the presidential elections.

On August 9, presidential elections were held in Belarus. Against the background of the elections, protests took place in 33 settlements of the country.
