Arresting 34 roaming butchers in Sharjah, and taking the necessary measures against them

The Sharjah City Municipality confirmed that it has intensified its various inspection campaigns during Eid Al-Adha and worked to prepare all its service facilities that witness a turnout during the Eid to receive the public according to preventive and precautionary measures, especially in the livestock markets and the central slaughterhouse.

In this context, the Director General of the Sharjah City Municipality, Thabet Al-Tarifi, explained that the central slaughterhouse received more than 3046 sacrifices during the Eid, 24 of which were destroyed due to non-compliance with health standards, and indicated that the municipality received more than 20 thousand visitors to the livestock market in the Jubail region and the temporary livestock market. In the area of ​​Umm Fennin and the central slaughterhouse, during Eid al-Adha, according to a set of preventive and precautionary measures, controls and health guidelines that it has implemented, as the livestock market in Jubail received 11,862 visitors during the Eid, 7215 visitors in Umm Fennin market, and 1065 visitors to the central slaughterhouse.

The director general of the municipality confirmed that the inspection teams of the Municipal Supervision and Inspection Department managed to seize 34 roaming butchers, and took the necessary measures against them and violating them in the framework of its keenness to reduce their risk to public health and the environment.
